Reichert Equine
Foundation
The Reichert family has been involved in the
horse business since 1934. While the pleasure horse has been
their primary equine related sport and business of choice,
family members have participated in rodeos, open shows and
exhibited horses of all breeds at the local, state, regional
and national levels in all disciplines. In addition, the
family has been active in the promotion of the equine
business across Iowa, the United States and internationally.
The establishment of the Reichert Equine
Foundation in 2008 is to begin the process of building
sustainability, not only for the Reichert Celebration, but
to recognize servant leadership development, community and
organizational participation while encouraging academic
excellence.
Mission Statement:
The Reichert Equine Foundation is the philanthropic arm of
the Reichert Celebration. The Mission of Reichert Equine
Foundation is to develop, educate, and involve the community
members in equine related activities for the purpose
charity, providing academic scholarships, rural community
development and fostering the ideals of community service
throughout the United States to establish a better standard
of life for the generations to come.
Key focus areas for the foundation are youth programs, which
includes scholarships and public education about the history
of the breeds of horses featured and their tremendous
usefulness in the present as well as the past; to develop,
educate and involve the community members in equine related
activities for the purpose of charity, rural community
development and fostering the ideals of community service
throughout the United States and to establish a better
standard of life for the generations to come.
Common Good:
The Board of Directors of the Reichert Equine Foundation is
comprised of 6 outstanding leaders from all sectors of the
equine and agricultural community who focus on improving the
quality of life of the youth involved in the equine
activities.
