Danielle Olafson

I am Danielle Olafson, I am a grade 12 student from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I have been riding since I was five years old, and began showing when I was twelve. For most of my riding career I have trained with Scott Neuman, who has been an amazing coach and inspiration to me. Recently I have also had the opportunity to train with Jason Martin, Charlie Cole, and Beth Case which has been a great experience. Although I have shown various horses throughout my riding career I experienced the greatest success with my gelding, Zippin On Top (aka Kalvin). He is such an amazing horse and I am so lucky to have started my riding career on such a talented horse. Within the team tournament I rode two of my horses, Zippin On Top, and my mare, Dressed The Best (aka Kat). I experienced success with both horses, and had a ton of fun competing in the tournament. With the scholarship I hope to attend university in a Bachelor of Science program. Following that I plan to continue into human chiropractics then further specialize in animals...

Courtney Allen

At the 2009 Quarter Horse Congress, they finished top 10 in Novice Youth Horsemanship, Novice Youth Pleasure, Novice Youth Showmanship, and were finalists in 12-14 Showmanship. “MoBo” and Courtney were very excited to get to show in the 2009 Reichert Celebration Team Tournament and look forward to doing so again next year.

My horse's name is Potential Melody, she is a 9 year old brown mare, but we call her "Pretty". I train with Dan and Darlene Trein at Trein Training Center in Seville, OH. My favorite class is probably trail because it is always a challenge and my horse loves it as well In addition to showing horses, I play tennis and am a member of my school's track and field team My favorite show is always the Quarter Horse Congress. I love the atmosphere and getting to compete with all my friends. I also love meeting new people. My biggest accomplishment to date is winning the 12-14 showmanship class at the 2009 All American Quarter Horse Congress.

Participating in the Team Tournament was a very fun and an excellent opportunity to meet kids from all over the United States as well as Canada. I’d especially like to thank the Reichert Family for putting this show on as well as supporting youth education. I’d also like to thank Cinch and Cruel Girl for donating the shirts and jeans along with all the other sponsors. Thanks Again!

Ashley Mauney

Hey, I'm Ashley Mauney. I am 13 years old, and live in Magnolia, Texas with my parents Laura and Shayle, my sister Melissa, 5 dogs, 5 cats and four horses. I am currently attending Magnolia Junior High. Once I graduate high school in the year of 2015, I plan to attend Texas A&M to become an equine vet. In 2001, I received my first appaloosa horse DZ Woman (a.k.a Daisy) who led me through walk trot. Then I met the horse I knew would continue my riding life, Dzs Ready to Show (a.k.a Tootsie). In 2007 Tootsie and I won walk trot trail at the Appaloosa Youth Nationals. In 2009 we came again strong winning the trail 12 and under, and reserve in western horsemanship and western pleasure 12 and under. I have two other horses, Dzs Handyman (a.k.a Zippy) and Eye B the Death of U (a.k.a Jetta). That year also Jetta and I won Barrels and Poles 13 and under. I currently train with Beth Bass in all around events and Sue Scobee in barrels, poles, figure eight, and keyhole. When I'm not riding horses, you'll probably see me running cross country or chilling with my friends. My plans are to continue showing Appaloosas.

Katie Buff

My name is Katie Buff. I am the daughter of Larry and Jeannette Buff of Morganton, NC. I am 17 years old and a
Junior at Robert L. Patton High School. I have a older brother and sister, Lucas and Tonya.

I have been riding horses since I was 4 years old. I started showing paint horses at the age of 9. Over those years
I have shown 4 different horses and love it. Some of my major accomplishments are: APHA Reserve World Champion
Walk-Trot Equitation, APHA World Champion Trail 13 & Under, APHA World Show Top 5 HUS 13 & Under and
Top 10 HUS Equitation, and APHA World Show Top 5 HUS 14-18. Also, I have shown at the Pinto World
Championship the last 2 years. I had multiple Champions and Reserve Champions and several Top Tens in youth
and open events.

After the death of 2 horses in less than a month apart, I now show a 5 year old, Zips Little Pine Bar, better
known as "Vinny". I have been showing him over the last 3 years and currently under the guidance of Gibbs
Show Horses of Tioga, TX. I showed Vinny in the youth team tournament because I thought it would be good
practice with my young horse in the pen. I never thought that I would be on the winning team, That was Great!

I will graduate in June of 2011. My dream has always been to receive a scholarship and ride on a Varsity
Equestrian Team. My first choice is the University of Georgia. Thanks to the Reichert Family for supporting
the youth. The $1,000 Scholarship that I won will certainly be a big help in my college education. My motto in
life is : "Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take but by the number of moments that take your
breath away". I have been blessed with many moments that have taken my breath and I hope for many more.

Candi Hager

My name is Candi Hager. I live in Cedar Falls, IA. I have been showing paint horses my whole life! I am currently treasurer for the AJPHA. Along with showing horses I work at my Mom's tack store called the Tack Room, Inc. located in Waterloo, Iowa. If I'm not riding horses or working, I enjoy spending my time fishing and doing stuff around the farm. Fall of 2010 I plan on attending Iowa
State University. I plan on starting with the general education classes and pre-veterinary classes.

Marissa Dalton

My name is Marissa Dalton, I am 19 years old and a freshman at Oklahoma State University. I am from Wooster, Ohio where my mom Pam and dad Dave live. I have two older sisters Brianna and Summer, two collies, and nine horses.

I have been showing quarter horse for 11 years under the guidance of Dan and Darlene Trein. In that time I have had the pleasure of being a multiple Congress Champion, World show Top Ten, and NSBA Champion. I have also had the honor of competing for the USA in the World Cup, bringing home the Gold!

All of this experience has allowed me to become a Varsity Equestrian rider for the OK State Cowgirls. I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising and minoring in Public Relations.

By being a member of AQHA and participating in all it has to offer has opened more doors for me than I could have ever imagined for myself. I feel blessed to have belonged to such a great community and organization.

Ashley Shoemaker

Hello, I’m Ashley Shoemaker, a sixteen year old, small town country girl. I have two little brothers, Kyle and Tyler, and also a little sister, Rebecca. My parents are Dynda and Jeremy Todd. I am a junior at Hulbert High School in Hulbert, Ok. I am very active within my school, as a starter on our varsity fast pitch and slow pitch softball teams. Also, I’m a member of our varsity wrestling team (manager), a member of our 4-H Club, and last, but by no means the least, a member of our FFA Chapter. This year I was voted and represented our FFA Chapter as my schools’ Homecoming Queen.

Outside of my school life I am very competitive in my favorite sport-Barrel Racing. I have been involved in this constantly growing sport since I was a nine year-old little girl, and have become more competitive every year since then. I also enjoy showing halter, showmanship, western horsemanship, western riding, and trail in our Local, State, and Regional 4-H shows.

I plan to graduate in the spring of 2011. After graduating I plan to attend Bacone University on a rodeo scholarship, for my first four years of college. After I have finished at Bacone then I plan to go onto Oklahoma State University to pursue my dream of becoming an Equine Specialist at the School of Veterinary Practices.

This was mine and my horses’ first year to attend the Reichert Celebration, and speaking on behalf of my family and myself “We had a BLAST!” I learned so many new things, just by watching the different shows. As a “newbie” to the Reichert, I wasn’t expecting to go win anything, I was only planning to have a good time and work with my horse. Being a member of the second place team and winning one of the $500 scholarships was way beyond anything I had imagined. I know that when I start planning my college expenses, this scholarship will help out very much with paying for them.

I would like to thank you as an organization, all of the sponsors that helped put this together, and for the many individuals that put their time and effort into this show for everything you have done, and the opportunity you have given me as a young rider.

Thanks again and God bless,
Ashley D. Shoemaker

Anne-Marie Fortenberry

I was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana. My love for horses started as quickly as I learned to crawl.. I started taking lessons when I was around 5-6 years old, I didn't really take riding that seriously then. I just wanted to be around them and pet them, when my parents bought me my first horses, I started showing at small local paint shows. I kept wanting to learn more and more a succeed in the classes. By the time I was 11, I was still crazy about horses and wanted to be at the barn every second of the day.. so my parents bought me my first 13 & Under horse, Gold In My Zipper(Zippy). He taught me soo much about riding and just life in general. In 2009, Zippy became sick, so we started looking at horses that Tim and Shannon Gillespie had because I had always been a big fan of their horses. We bought my horse, Sterling Captive from them. (A.K.A- Lewis) :) It was an instant connection, he was the first big hunter under saddle horse I had ever had. I started training with Tim and Shannon very quickly after we purchased Lewis. I'm sooo glad we made that decison because Lewis is the best thing I could have ever asked for. :)
